Microsoft New Commerce Experience (NCE) and Price Increases

Microsoft is making a major change to their Microsoft 365 Licencing programme and implementing a price increase for the first time in 10 years.

We are currently waiting for confirmed pricing for the UK but here is a summary of the changes that will be made starting March 2022.

  • Microsoft 365 Business and Office 365 will be subject to a price increase of between 10% and 25% (These are not confirmed yet) – Please see link New pricing for Microsoft 365 – Microsoft 365 Blog
  • Microsoft 365 subscriptions are now annual or a three-year term, but still paid monthly.  You can upgrade a licence, but you cannot downgrade during the term.
  • Cancelled Licences mid-term will no longer be credited back.
  • Monthly subscriptions can still be purchased but will be at a approx. 20% premium (Awaiting Confirmation) – These can also be running alongside Annual licences so that a business can flex.

New or renewing subscriptions from March 2022 will transact via the New Commerce Experience.

Existing customers, please speak to your Pescado Account Manager and discuss having a licence evaluation to find the most optimal licensing model.
